Allegan, MI, died Saturday, January 13, 2007 at the Allegan General Hospital. Mr. Hunt was born November 21, 1924 in Burton, West Virginia, the son of William L. and Esta (Hughes) Hunt. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during WWII and had been employed at Rockwell Int'l. for 34 years. Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Ione (Deering), whom he married April 17, 1946; 6 children, James F. Jr. and Debbie Hunt of Worthington, OH, Vicki Hunt of Chicago, Janet Tilley of Brighton, Susan and Jon Keldsen of Lansing, Brian and Debbie Hunt of Lake Orion and Timothy and Ruth Hunt of Mt. Pleasant; 14 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; 1 brother-in-law, Maurice Deering of Allegan and sister-in-law, Maurine and Bernard Ockert of Allegan. He was preceded in death by 4 sisters, and 1 brother, Wayne, who was killed serving during WWII. Friends may meet with the family from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday and from 1 p.m. Wednesday until time of service at 2 p.m. at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. Pastor Dan Maguire officiating.
