of Wayland, formerly of Shelbyville, died, Sunday March 30, 2008 at the Pennock Hospital in Hastings. Jim was born February 25, 1918 in Grand Rapids, the son of Charles and Christina (Ferguson) Hedrick. Jim was well known in the Wayland area as "Walking Jim, King of the Road". It was not uncommon to see Jim anywhere between Allegan, Wayland or Shelbyville. Surviving are 1 sister, Bertha Holmes of Wayland and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Lyons. Friends may meet with the family on Saturday, April 5, 2008 from 3-5 pm. Private burial will take place at Miner Cemetery, Watson Twp.
