James M. Gilson, 55 of Allegan, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Thursday, August 22, 2002. Jim was born May 30, 1947 in Allegan, MI the son of Marshall and Naomi (Yerden) Gilson. He graduated from Allegan High School, Class of 1966, was a farmer and had ran the Gilson Mud Run for 6 years. His family remembers him as a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. Surviving are his wife, Carolyn (Jamieson); 6 children, Deanna & Steve Zahl of Hamilton, Robin & Steve Stenberg of Allegan, Kim & Werner Morganstern of Farmington Hills, Jim & Val Gilson of Allendale, Karen & Dan Willey of Allegan, Rebecca & Bill Delbridge of Allegan; 14 grandchildren; mother-in-law, Grace Johnson of Allegan; sister-in-law, Pixie Puente of Allegan; 2 brothers-in-law, Lloyd & Vicki Veldhuis of Allegan, Nolan Jamieson of Fremont. He was preceded in death by his father in 2001 and a beautiful granddaughter, Samantha in 1997. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2-5 pm at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where services will be held Monday 11:00 am. Pastor Mary Hoots officiating. Interment Mallory Cemetery, Trowbridge Township. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ronald McDonald House.
