of Allegan, died Monday, January 6, 2014, at his home. Mr. Freeman was born March 4, 1953, in Allegan, the son of James L. and Josephine (Haisma) Freeman. Jim graduated from Allegan High School in 1971, he attended both Grand Rapids Community College and Kalamazoo Valley Community College, and received his Associates Degree in Business. He was a realtor in Allegan for over 36 years, and owned and operated Freeman Real Estate. Surviving are his father, James L. Freeman, his brother, Dennis and Deborah Stora, 4 sisters: Judy and Fred Waanders, Linda and Bud Nevenzel, Jan Stora, Sara and Tim Purkey, many nieces and nephews. Jim was preceded in death by his mother, Josie, and his brother, Ronnie. Friends may meet with the family on Friday, January 10, 2014, from 5-8 pm, at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 11, at 1 pm at the Silo in Allegan, with fellowship and food to follow.
