Plainwell, MI, died Saturday, January 3, 2009 at his home. James was born May 4, 1981 in Allegan, the son of Wilbur Patton and Dorothy Dutton. He enjoyed bowling and NASCAR and had won 15 trophies in bowling. Surviving are his mom and stepdad, Dorothy Dutton and Raymond Jordan; dad, Wilbur Patton and stepmother, Janet Patton; grandmother, Lovetta Pattan; stepbrother, Paul Pattan; aunts, Mary Happe, Delta Miller, Debbie Usrey, Deana Franklin, Debi Usrey, Mary Gibson, Janet Allen and Lorna Burkhead; uncles, Lloyd Dutton, Charles Dutton, George Dutton, Lloyd Usrey, Raymond Usrey, Gerald Pattan, Dale Pattan, and Ernie McDaniels; many cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Margaret Dutton, grandfather, Lloyd Dutton and cousin, Joey. Friends may meet with the family on Sunday, Jan. 18, at 1 p.m. at the former Querback Leather Processing plant, across from the Allegan High School.
