of Allegan, died Thursday, August 16, 2012, at the Allegan Country Estates. Jim was born August 5, 1929, in Allegan, the son of Thomas J. and Maude (Whipple) Andrus. He graduated from Allegan High School in 1947, and then went to work at Blood Brothers (Rockwell Int.). He left to serve his Country, and was a Veteran of the United States Navy, serving during the Korean Conflict. Jim married the love of his life Della Meshkin, he returned to work at Rockwell in 1954 and retired in 1984. He pursued many interests after retirement, travel, golf, geneology, bowling, and would do anything to help his kids or grandkids with their many projects. Surviving are his wife, Della, 3 children; Vickie Andrus Todd, James and Barbara Andrus, and Daniel and Julie Andrus, 9 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins. Jim was preceded in death by his 8 brothers and sisters. In accordance with his wishes, the family will have a private visitation and then a graveside service at Oakwood Cemetery, Allegan. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Wings of Hope Hospice. Arrangements by the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel.
