Adams, James Michael (Jim, Mike, Mickey), 66, of Aurora, Ill., passed away Sunday, March 20, 2016, surrounded by his family and friends after a severe stroke. He was vacationing in Florida. He was born September 9, 1949, in Aurora, Ill., to his parents, the late Dorothy A. (Chione) and the late William Adams of Aurora, Ill.. Jim worked in advertising at the Beacon Newspaper in Aurora for 36 years. He was a long time resident of Aurora and Yorkville, Ill., before retiring to Allegan. Jim was an avid sports fan and cheered on his White Sox. He loved to read, especially history and politics, listen to music, plant in his garden and spoil his pets. He was a watcher of all CNN current news events and the weather as well as a civil war and trivia buff. He is survived by his wife of 38-and-a-half wonderful years, Maryann (Zigulich) of Allegan; and his two children, Christopher Adams of Chicago, Ill., and Anna Adams of Washington, D.C., of whom he loved and was so proud. He leaves behind many cousins in Colorado; his three brothers-in-law, Daniel (Deb Gardner) Zigulich, Phillip (Sharon) Zigulich, and Joseph (Patricia Berner) Zigulich; and one sister-in-law, Carol (Jimmy Flannery) Zigulich. He will be missed by many nieces and nephews, one great nephew, and many other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends and relatives on Friday, July 1, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 110 N. Cedar Street, Allegan, from 9:30 - 10:30 AM, where a memorial mass will be held at 11:00 AM, Father Rev. Alan P. Jorgensen officiating.
