went peacefully home to be with the Lord, Monday, August 13, 2007 at the Allegan General Hospital. Mrs. Estes was born October 4, 1937 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of William and Una (Gable) Roberts. Surviving are 4 daughters and 3 sons-in-law, Jamie and Chris Mayernick of Zeeland, Elaine Estes of Wayland, Mary and John Leinaar, formerly of Allegan, and Cora and Carrol Carpenter of Delton; 3 brothers, David and Shirley Roberts of Allegan, Bob and Helen Roberts and Ernie and Mary Roberts, all of Kalamazoo; 2 sisters, Patricia Ray of Hastings and Alta Jean Smith of California; 9 grandchildren, Stewart Ferguson, Jon and Jessica Gokey, Tim and Nina Motcheck, Samantha Rands, Brandy Crisman, Georgie Crisman, Angela Dean, Joni Fuller, and Rickie Gates; 6 great grandchildren, Shelby Vandenberg, Donte' Carver, Alyssa Gokey, Nariah Rivera, Aryah Lewis, and JJ Gokey; She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Sgt. Walter P. Estes, son, Walter P. Estes, Jr., great grandson, Sean Gokey, brother, Richard Roberts and sister Nancy McFarland. A Memorial graveside mass will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Rev. Fr. Robert Johansen, Celebrant. Memorial contributions may be made to Wings of Hope Hospice, 530 Linn St., Suite A., Allegan, MI 49010. Arrangements by the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel.
