It is with heavy hearts that we announce our dearly loved Jack Madalinski passed away in his home surrounded by family on January 12, 2021. Jack was born April 28, 1941 to his late father, Philip Madalinski and late mother, Josephine (Olesky) Madalinski. Jack was an incredibly hard working and well-loved man. After high school Jack would marry his Jerry Ives with which he shared 52 years of marriage. He would go on to serve honorably in the Air Force as a professional chef for 4 years. This would create and grow his ever-growing passion with cooking and serving others. When Jack left the Air Force, he would go on to work at GM and retire after 35 faithfully dedicated years. Jack had a passion for working and working hard. Everything he did, he did over and above. After long hours at GM he would come home and work his farm daily. There is no doubt about how hard Jack worked, but he loved to play and hang out even more. Jack would often be found at Pine Grove Bowling Lanes in Gobles with family and friends. Jack enjoyed making special, delicious, and plentiful food concoctions that everyone loved. If you did not see him wrenching at work or farming at home, then he was most likely cooking some magnificent meal for his family. Jack loved fishing his local water holes around Chicora and homestead. He was an avid supporter of all sports that his children and grandchildren played in. Jack especially loved Detroit Lions football, and New York Rangers hockey team. He loved his family and enjoyed the company of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Jack is survived by his wonderful wife, Jerry (Ives) Madalinski; his 4 children, Steve (Bobbi Jo) Madalinski, Julie (Marc) Peckhem, Mark (Cherish) Madalinski and Amy (Ron) Sherwood; his 6 siblings, Pat (Bob) Young, Philip (Rhonda) Madalinski, Sheila (Jeff) Clearwater, Edward (Jamie) Madalinski, James (Roseanne) Madalinski and Caroline (Richard) Arnsman; his 10 grandchildren, Justeen (Chris) Haring, Olivia Schwallier, Joshua Madalinski, Marie Madalinski, Kyle Peckhem, Jack Madalinski, II, Madison Madalinski, Daniel (Kelsey) Webster, Josie Sherwood and Ron Sherwood, Jr.; and his 4 great-grandchildren, Sabrina Sherwood, Kaine Sherwood and Phineas Schwallier.
