of Allegan, died Friday, July 26, 2013, at his home. Mr. Chase was born February 10, 1924, in Kalamazoo, the son of Donald and Orena (Matzinger) Chase. Jack was a Veteran of both the United States Navy and the United States Air Force, serving during WWII. He had worked for Eaton in Kalamazoo for over 30 years. Jack was involved in the Forgotten Man Ministries for 40 years, and was a friend and witness to many. He also spent several years with the CCC, planting trees and working on many outdoor projects. Surviving are his wife, Phyllis, his son, Jack Chase and his fiancee, Shawna Cassity, his brother, Stanley and Eleanor Chase, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his brother, Don, and his 2 sisters, Rena and Beverly. Friends may meet with the family on Wednesday, July 31, 2013, from 11 am till service time at 12 noon at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, www.gordenfuneral.com. Pastor Jim Collison will officiate. Private interment will take place at a later date at Miner Cemetery, Watson Twp..
