Allegan, died Sunday, January 11, 2009, at the Life Care Center in Plainwell. Mrs. Oetman was born December 2, 1925, in Otsego, the daughter of Martin and Nellie (Kok) Boerman. Surviving are her 3 children, Ron Oetman of Grand Rapids, David and Sandy Oetman and Diane and Daniel Groh all of Allegan, 5 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 2 brothers, Orvil and Marge Boerman and Wayne and Delores Boerman all of Byron Center, several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband Gerrit, daughter, Judy Oetman, grandson, Ryan Harwood, great grandson, Joseph Sousley, and her sister, Phyllis Slagter. Friends may meet with the family on Tuesday from 6-8 pm at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 am. with a visitation form 10 am until service time at 11am. Pastor Roger Lambert will officiate. Interment Hudson Corners Cemetery, Allegan Twp. Memorials may be made to the Wings of Hope Hospice or the Alzheimer's Assoc.
