Ida Lee Carroll, 64 of Allegan, Michigan passed away Monday, November 15, 2021 at Ascension Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Born September 24, 1957 in Holland, Michigan, she was the daughter of Dorothy Harbison Hopkins and the loving partner of Dave Faust. Ida was a loving woman who constantly gave to others, especially her family, of whom she loved dearly. Ida was the center of her family, lifting and supporting all of them with her kind soul and nurturing nature. She made holidays special and even ordinary days seemed like a holiday when she was around. Ida had a great love for her mother and cherished the time that she spent with her while taking care of her. Spending time with her grandchildren was the highlight of Ida's days. She always marveled at what amazing grandkids she had and felt blessed to be their grandma. Ida enjoyed peaceful days at home, she would attend to her animals and crops on her laptop game. She would care for her animals in her home, as well as her plants and vegetables outside her home. Above all else, her favorite pastime was watching her birds, in particular the woodpecker that was always hanging upside down from the feeder, and an unusual cardinal that was a mix of red and brown. She would get so much joy from those two birds in particular. With the holidays just around the corner, Ida is probably smiling down on her family waiting to see how they will decorate and make their own special and cherished memories. Holidays were truly her favorite time of year, and she would always spread her cheer, not with just family but friends also. Her love will serve as a special light in the days ahead and her family will honor her in all their celebrations and achievements in the future. If you were family or friend, please know that she loved you full-heartedly. Ida is survived by her two sons, Gary Carroll and Troy Carroll; one sister, Donna Brummitt; three grandchildren, Arie Carroll, Harper Carroll and Jayce Carroll; and two nephews, David Smith and Eric Brummitt, and many cousins. Friends may meet with the family at Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, on Friday, November 26, 2021. A Memorial Service will begin at 3:00 PM with visitation to follow until 5:00 PM.
