Howard "Bud" Vote, of Allegan, died at his home Thursday, August 25, 2005. Mr. Vote was born August 29, 1929 in Allegan the son of Irvin & Grace (Vaness) Vote. He was a member of the Trowbridge United Methodist Church, Moose Lodge, Otsego VFW Post 3030 and was a part of the Allegan County Sheriff Posse for over 25 years. Bud was also a Veteran of the United States Army serving in Korea. In 1990 he retired from Mead Corp. in Otsego after 39 years of service. Surviving are his wife, Irene, 3 children, Barbara Jean Vote of Allegan, Gary & Leora Rex of Fennville and Roger & Minda Rex of Allegan, 1 foster son, Walter Dodge of Texas and 1 grandson Trevor, his brother, John & Daisy Vote of Lewiston, several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his first wife Gloria and his sister, June Pickett. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday at 11am at the Trowbridge United Methodist Church, Rev. Gary Wales officiating. Military graveside services will be conducted by the Otsego VFW Post 3030 at Mallory Cemetery, Trowbridge Twp. Memorials may be made to the Wings of Hope Hospice.
