of Allegan, died peacefully at his home, Tuesday, November 29, 2011, after a courageous battle with cancer the past 5 years. Homer was born January 30, 1935, in Marion, Ohio, the son of Harry T. and Florence (Foos) Ingmire. Homer attended elementary school in Marion until the family moved to Morenci, AZ in 1944. In 1952, his father was killed in an accident. The family moved to Ohio where Homer graduated from Mt. Gilead High School in 1953. In 1958 he graduated with a mechanical engineering degree from Fenn College, now Cleveland State University. He was employed by the E. W. Bliss Company, in Hastings, MI, where he met the love of his life, Evelyn Baker, they were married in 1961, and spent 46 years together until her death in 2007. He retired as Information Services Manager for Parker Hannifin Corp., Brass Products Division, in Otsego, in 1997. His hobbies included woodworking, wood boat building, fishing, and weekly lunches with his fellow Parker retirees. Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Linda Anthony (Leedle) of Allegan, 2 grandsons, Monty L. and Pamela Anthony of Kalamazoo, and Marc J. Anthony of Hickory Corners, 6 great grandchildren; Brett, Bryce, Rachel, Brittney, Kiaya, and Hunter, his brother, Don and Ruie Ingmire of VA, his sister, Linda and Roger Sheets, 2 nieces; Kerrie Huston and Kristy and Joe Erdy, his aunt, Ruth Edington, all of Ohio, many cousins and friends. He will be missed by his long time family friend, Rod Heerspink. Cremation has taken place, there will be no public services. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Adopt-A-Pet Rescue, at any Huntington Bank. Arrangements by the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel.
