Allegan, MI, died Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at Borgess Medical Center, Kalamazoo. Mr. Templin was born November 21, 1934 in Lansing, the son of August and Bertha (Smith) Templin. He was a graduate of Lansing Sexton High School and had attended the First Baptist Church in Allegan. He was an avid fisherman and had owned and operated Templin Sunset Lanes for 39 years, until August of 2007. Surviving are his wife, Barbara A. (Coble), whom he married March 3, 1953; 2 children, Jack and Kim Templin of Allegan and Melody and David Woolf of Kalamazoo; 6 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Henny Templin of Tennessee; 1 sister, Helen Fitzgerald of Lansing. He was preceded in death by a son, Mark, grandson, John Paul, and a sister. Friends may meet with the family from 11 a.m. Saturday until time of memorial service at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, www.gordenfuneral.com. Interment at a later date in Orangeville Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the family.
