Herman Creech, Allegan, died Saturday, October 23, 2004 at Metron of Allegan and is now free from Alzheimers. Mr. Creech was born May 13, 1915 in Hendricks County, Muncie, Indiana, the son of Millard & Mallie L. (Coldiron) Creech. Herman was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving in World War II, and was a life member of the VFW Post # 5696. He had lived in Chicago for several years where he owned and maintained an apartment building with his wife Grace, whom he married in 1969. She preceded him in death in 1982. He was a well driller for many years but his favorite things in life were his garden, and helping his friends, family and neighbors. He loved family dinners and tinkering, and all the kids at halloween. Surviving are 1 brother, Tildon Creech of TX, 1 sister in law, Harriet Creech of Kalamazoo, several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Walter, Roy, Ben, Milton, and 1 sister, Esther. He will be forever missed. Friends may meet with the family Tuesday from 2-3 pm at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where funeral services will be held at 3pm. Pastor Reva Daniel will officiate. Interment Hudson Corners Cemetery, Allegan Twp. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Assoc.
