age 89, of Allegan, passed away Thursday, March 6, 2014 at her home with her family by her side. She was born in Allegan, Michigan December 2, 1924, the daughter of Frank and Mable (Truax) Glenowich. Helena is survived by her children: Linda (Robert) Morse, James (Barbara) Garlock, Arlene (Rob) Sandberg; her six grandchildren; her three great-grandchildren and one on the way; her brother-in-law Jerry Garlock; her sister-in-law Rose Foster; and many nieces, nephews and cousins, including her two special nephews Ron and Rick; and her special great-niece Caitlin. She is preceded in death by her husband James and her sister Frances Lahndorf. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, March 9, 2014 from 3-5:00 P.M. at Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. The Funeral will be held on Monday, March 10, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. also at Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. Pastor Russell Gibbs will be officiating. Interment will take place in the spring at Lindsley Cemetery, Cheshire Township. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to Wings of Hope Hospice, 530 Linn Street, Allegan, Michigan 49010. Arrangements are being made by Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel.
