Helen Ruth Green, 84, of Allegan, MI passed away Friday, June 25, 2021 at her home surrounded by family. Born July 19, 1936 in Martin, TN, she was the daughter of the late Marvin and Della (Dun) McDaniel. On April 26, 1952 she wed James Green and they shared sixty-one happy years of marriage prior to his passing in 2013. Mrs. Green retired from Crescent Machine in 1998 following forty years of dedicated employment. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and sister who loved nothing more than spending time with her family. Mrs. Green is survived by her children, Brenda (Len) Smith, Jim (Kathy) Green, Sue (David) Hiscock, Ernie (Cheryl) Green, Cookie (Walt) Klotz and Judy Shank; siblings, James (Louise) McDaniel, Vicky (Cliff) Crawford and Jacki McDaniel; sixteen grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Joe McDaniel. The family will receive friends at Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, on Friday, July 2, 2021 from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM, at which time a funeral service will begin. Burial will follow in Hudson Corners Cemetery. A luncheon will take place at the Allegan Township Hall following the committal service.
