of Allegan. Died October 31, 2011. Age 90 years. She was born in Baraga, Michigan on April 3, 1921, the daughter of the late Victor and Sophie (Turpinen) Kinnunen. She worked for the Lifesavers plant in Holland, retiring in the early 80's after 13 years of service. She was married to Eugene Overmyer; he preceded her in death in 1980. Surviving are two children, Eugene (Donna) Overmyer of Allegan and Marlene Overmyer of Grand Rapids; six grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and a daughter-in-law, Judy Overmyer of Allegan. She was preceded in death by her son Terry Overmyer in 2011; a brother, Emil Kinnunen; three sisters, Iva Gerts, Hilda Jacobson and Martha Hartikka. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at the funeral chapel. Pastor Rick Gerts will officiate with interment in Hudson Corners Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Congregational Kitchen or Allegan Country Estates.
