of Allegan, died Friday, January 9, 2009 at the Bronson Methodist Hospital. Mrs. Cassetto was born November 8, 1921 in Verona, IL, the daughter of John and Mary (Hobberstadt) Severson. On Novemebr 22, 1947, Helen married Joseph Cassetto, who survivies. Helen was a LPN and worked for Morris Hospital in Morris IL in her younger days. She was a life long Cubs fan, a member of the Son's of Norway, Askeladden Lodge in Kalamazoo, and a faithful member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Allegan for over 27 years. Surviving along with her husband , Joe, are her 4 children, Joseph Jr. and Kandis Cassetto of Morris, IL, Richard and Susanne Cassetto of Plainfield, IL, Mary Sue and James Dawsey of Holland, and David and Pamela Cassetto of Allegan, 8 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 3 brothers, Emmett Severson of Joliet, IL, Don Severson of Morris, IL and Edmond and Ruth Severson of CA, 1 sister, Ruth Polezoes of IL, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her 2 brothers, Oscar and John and 1 sister, Clara Dransfeldt. Friends may meet with the family on Monday from 3-5 pm at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, where the funeral service will be held at 5 pm. Pastor Dean Beckwith will officiate.
