Allegan, MI died Wednesday, January 16, 2008 at Allegan General Hospital. Mrs. Brower was born August 2, 1918 in Sumner, MO, the daughter of Roy and Gladys (Merriott) Shoemaker. She lived many years in Allegan where she was an active member of the First Baptist Church. She was a woman, strong and unwavering in her faith, who prayed daily for her family and friends. She was very active and social the last eight years at Allegan County Medical Care Facility. Able to drive later in life than some of her friends, she enjoyed providing transportation for them. She enjoyed cooking and baking. Louise was preceded in death by a son at birth, James Richard Brower, a son Wayne Brower, her husband, Dick, and 1 brother, Carl Shoemaker. Surviving are her daughter, Linda Vall, of Allegan and granddaughter, Laurie Miles, of Holland. Friends may meet with the family from 3-6 p.m. Sunday at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. Pastor James Turner officiating. Interment Poplar Hill Cemetery, Monterey Twp. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church.
