Allegan, MI, died Monday, March 27, 2006 at the Allegan County Medical Care Facility. Mrs. Abraham was born August 3, 1917 in Bloomingdale, the daughter of Frank and Lucille (Byrd) Lane. She graduated from Bloomingdale High School, class of 1935. She attended Allegan County Normal and then graduated from Western MI Univ. She started her teaching career in country school (Healy) in Bloomingdale. She also taught in Bloomingdale and Otsego and for the last 35 years at Dawson Elementary in Allegan. She always enjoyed seeing her former students and referred to them as her 'boys and girls'. She collected many items, and had a large Pillsbury collection, including the doughboy. Surviving are a special nephew and his wife, Frank and Nola Tooker of Allegan; grand nephew, Tate Tooker and his companion, Juanita Marshall, of Holland; great grand nephew, Jordan Tooker. Helen was married to Joseph Ashley, who preceded her in death in 1969 and to Norbert Abraham, who preceded her in death in 2004. Friends may meet with the family from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. Pastor Herb Curry officiating.
