Hazel Leona Arndt, 97, of Allegan, MI passed away Friday, July 5, 2019 at Allegan County Medical Care Community. Born November 30, 1921 in Pullman, she was the daughter of the late William Layton Stuller and Bertha (Borton) Stuller and was the wife of the late Harold Edwin "Bus" Arndt, who preceded her in death in 1996. Mrs. Arndt had worked for ten years for Freidlands Company where she ran a high-powered sewing machine making coats. She was the best pocket setter in the organization, which she was very proud of. Mrs. Arndt was dedicated to her family. In the 1950's she was a 4-H Leader and was very involved in all of her children's activities. In later years she loved keeping up to date with everything that was going on in the lives of her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Arndt was a member of the Allegan Eagles Club Auxiliary and she enjoyed both playing and calling bingo at the Griswold in Allegan. Working outdoors was one of her favorite pastimes. She had the most beautiful flower gardens and the greatest and, some would say, the most spotless asparagus patch in the area.
She is survived by her children, Norman (Gwen) Arndt, Marla Cowie Fendley, Linda (Jim) Frederick and Carol (Jerry) DeVries; a brother, Bill (Joan) Stuller; thirteen grandchildren, thirty-five great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
