IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Hazel Mae
(Hagerman) Morris
July 12, 1947 – October 11, 2024
Hazel Mae Morris passed away Friday, October 11, 2024 at Ascension Allegan General Hospital at the age of 77. Born July 12, 1947 in Three Rivers, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Millie Mae (King) Hagerman and was the wife of Phillip Eugene Morris. Hazel was the very definition of a Christian woman who loved her Lord and Savior. In her younger years she was a faithful member of Three Rivers Bible Church and Hazel more recently attended online with FaithWay Church of Plainwell. She had many talents that she shared with others, including crocheting and knitting afghans for her grandchildren and making beautiful paintings. Hazel enjoyed watching the hummingbirds in the yard and always looked forward to their return. She truly cherished her time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family and friends.
In addition to Phillip, her husband of fifty-six years, Hazel is survived by her children, Karen Ellis, Jeff (Charlotte) Morris, Tony (Shannon) Morris and Travis (Jody) Morris; grandchildren, Parker, Alvin, Gabe, Cami, Trevor, Carter, Aleigha, Sidney, Brent (Sam) Witters, Brittany (Marcelo) Novais, Brandy (Brandon) Jacobs and T.J.; great-grandchildren, Kalvin, Ruby, Caleb, Eli, Joanna, Ezra, Avery, Chanel and J.J.; her special friends, Linda Barnes, Les and Judy Witters and Doris Riddle; and her close neighbors. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Phillip Morris, Jr.; and her brother, David Hagerman.
The family will receive friends at Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM and a funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, and in honor of Hazel's victory over breast cancer, memorial donations may be made to Allegan General Hospital Cancer Society.
