of Bloomingdale. Died December 16, 2011. Age 88 years. She was born December 13, 1923 in Comstock, MI. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Allegan. She worked for Imperial Carving Company, retiring in 1987. She was married to LeRoy B. Pence; he preceded her in death in 1985. Surviving are two children, Ellen (Joe) McKenzie of Bloomingdale; and LeRoy Sidney (Valerie) Pence of Cookville, TN; 9 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Bessie Weaver, May Cornell and Lillian. Friends may visit with the family on Monday from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at the funeral home. Pastor Fred Perry will officiate with burial in Oakwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
