Hazel May Coleman, Allegan, died Saturday, December 16, 2006 at the Allegan County Medical Care Facility. Mrs. Coleman was born July 3, 1920, in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of George & Hazel (Hatt) Simpson. Hazel was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Allegan, she had worked for many years as a waitress at the Club restaurant and worked for over 19 years at Perrigo Co. Surviving are 5 children, Judy & Donald Lampen of Paw Paw, Bonnie Bailey-Edwards and her husband Randy of Gobles, Connie & Karl Spreitzer of Allegan, Debbie & Michael Verbeek of Virginia and Barb & Paul Roden of North Carolina, 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, 1 brother, Robert & Sally Simpson of Schwartz Creek, 2 sisters, Vivien McGuire of Flint and Sharon Simpson of Maryland, many nieces, nephews & cousins. Private graveside services will be held on Tuesday at Oakwood Cemetery, Allegan. Pastor Ron Bessert from Immanuel Lutheran Church will officiate. Memorials may be made to the Allegan County Medical Care Facility. Arrangements by the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel.
