Cheshire Twp., Allegan, MI, died Sunday, Aug. 11, 2002 at his home. Mr. Spencer was born Oct. 27, 1912 in Terre Haute, IN, the son of Ovid and Ida (Packard) Spencer. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during WWII. He had been a truck driver for Sears, for 32 years and had been a good and providing father and husband. Surviving are his wife, Margaret; 3 children, Jackie Silkwood of Yellville, AR, Earl and Carol Spencer of Valparaiso, IN and Vicki and Jack Frisk of Ludlow, KY; 1 stepson, Dennis and Doris Farnham of DeWitt, MI; 12 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Maxine Cole, of Clearwater, FL. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lola, in 1978, 1 sister, Dorothy and brother, Bob. Friends may meet with the family from 5-p.m. until time of service at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, Pastor Gary Wales officiating.
