of Allegan, died Sunday, June 28, 2015, at his home, under the care of his loving family, and Wings of Hope Hospice. Harl was born February 20, 1931, in Kalamazoo, the son of the late, Harley and Lucille May (Skinner) Blank. He was a Veteran of the United States Marines, serving in the Korean War. He worked at a paper mill in Kalamazoo, a chemical factory in California, then moved back to Allegan where he worked at Ken's Tire, Shell Gas Station, and Ace Hardware. On February 22, 1985, Harl married Nancy Thompson, who survives, and enjoyed 30 wonderful years together. He is also survived by his 3 son's: David Blank, Keith and Sheila Blank, Rodney and Kathy Blank; his daughter: Cindy Williams and Sean; 3 step children: Monica Strand, Keith and Tania Strand, Jeff and Kelly Strand; 3 brothers: Ronald and Alberta Blank, Wayne and Jane Blank, Terry and Sandy Blank; 16 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; his furry friend, Sugar. Harl was preceded in death by his daughter Connie. Friends may meet with the family on Thursday, July 2, 2015, for one hour prior to the Memorial Service at 12 noon, at Christ Community Church in Allegan.
