Obituary

Hopkins, MI, died Monday, Nov. 11, 2002 at the Allegan General Hospital. Mrs. Cadman was born July 7, 1934 in Grand Rapids, the daughter of Orton and Ruth (Freas) Heintzelman. Mrs. Cadman was a graduate of the Godwin Heights High School, Class of 1952. She was a member of the Hopkins Community Reformed Church, where she sang in the choir for 25 years and served as a Sunday School teacher for 30 years. She had been employed at the Hopkins Public Schools for 20 years as a kindergarten teacher's aide. On June 7, 1952 in Grand Rapids, she was united in marriage to Donald E. Sr., who survives. Also surviving are 5 children and their spouses, Donald and Patty Cadman of Sparta, Debra and Robert Moore of Allegan, Doreen Reurink of Hopkins, David and Margaret Cadman of Hamilton and Denise and Larry Button of Gobles; 16 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 2 sisters and their husbands, Ruth Ann and Nelson Bredeweg of Jamestown and Joyce and Sam VenHuizen of Florida; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her son, Gregory, and son-in-law, Hank Reurink. Friends may meet with the family from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Hopkins Chapel, where funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. Pastors Stan Vugteveen and Jack Klunder officiating. Interment Maplewood Cemetery, Hopkins Twp. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hopkins Community Reformed Church Building Fund.
