of Allegan, died Thursday, June 6, 2011, at the Allegan Country Estates. Mr. Dangremond was born December 9, 1919 in Hamilton, the son of Edward and Reka (Maatman) Dangremond. He was a private pilot for many years, and was one of the original members of the Allegan Aviation Assoc. at Padgham Field. Gordon was a Veteran of the United States Army Air Corps, serving during WWII from 1941- 1945, he flew 74 missions in B-24's and B-17's. He was a member of the American Legion, volunteered many hours with the Boy Scouts of America, and was a member of the Allegan Methodist Church for 48 years. He worked for his brother, Al, at Al's Service Garage for many years, and retired from Rockwell International. Surviving are his wife, Jane (Hurlbut), 2 son's; Scott and Connie Dangremond of Allegan, and Dan and Kim Dangremond of Kalamazoo, 3 grandchildren; Kyle and Mandy Harnden, Kara, and Alli Dangremond, 1 great grandson, Lincoln, 1 brother, Chet and Noelle Dangremond of CA, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 7 brothers and 2 sisters. There will be no visitation. Military Graveside services will be held at Oakwood Cemetery, Allegan, on Tuesday, June 21, at 11 am. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Wings of Hope Hospice or Allegan Country Estates. Arrangements by the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel.
