Obituary

Allegan, MI, passed away Friday, January 11, 2008. Glenn was born December 13, 1923 in Allegan, the son of Charles and Eva Querbach. He lived most of his life in Allegan, graduating from Allegan High School in 1941. In August 1946, Glenn married June Kitchell, his childhood sweetheart. He served in WWII, in the United States Navy Air Corp, where he became an instructor and pilot. He was owner and operator of Herman's Dry Cleaners in downtown Allegan as well as accountant for Red's Motor Parts and Querbach Leather Processing. He was a long-time member of the Allegan United Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife, June; daughter, Linda (Robert) Chisholm and son Alan (Lori) Querback; 4 grandchildren, Brian and Randy Chisholm, Lisa Chisholm Decker and their spouses, and Sarah Querback; 5 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters and 1 brother, Evelyn Walters, Vivian Holliday, Suzanne Kuiper and Wayne Querbach. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Wilma Lauren and brother, Rex Querbach. Friends may meet with the family from 1 p.m. Monday until time of funeral services at 3 p.m. Monday at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. Pastor Robert Pumfery officiating. Interment Oakwood Cemetery, Allegan. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wings of Hope Hospice or Kids Hope.
