Allegan Twp., MI, died Wednesday, July 19, 2006 at his home. Mr. Edwards was born June 13, 1935 in Vicksburg, MI, the son of Calvin and Mildred (Miller) Edwards. He had been employed in maintenance for Plainwell Public Schools for several years and at the Allegan Co. Medical Care Facility for 8 years. Surviving are his wife, Margaret (Counterman); 4 sons and their spouses, David and Edie of Wayland, Glen and Jamie of Hopkins, Robert and Gerilyn of Decatur and Allen of Gobles; 4 stepchildren, Betty McDaniel of Allegan, Judy and Bob Sandfur of Brant, Linda and David Warner of Allegan, and Robert and Carol Fales of Allegan; 22 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 1 brother and his wife, Donald and Shirley Edwards of Plainwell; 4 sisters, Shirley Cassidy of Allegan, Marjorie Edwards of Kalamazoo, Betty and Bob Keech of Florida and Mary and Don Gilman of Allegan; several nieces and nephews. Friends may meet with the family from 2 p.m. Friday until time of memorial service at 3 p.m. at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel.
