Gertrude Annabelle Walker, 91, of Crossroads, TX, passed away at her home Wednesday, March 27, 2019. Gertrude was born December 11, 1927 in Allegan, MI to Frank and Margaret (Rixson) Schneider. She married Jimmy Benton Walker on July 25, 1970 in Allegan, MI. Gertrude is survived by her daughter, Sandra DeVault, of Little Elm, TX; son, Jim Julian of Pullman, MI; seven grandchildren; ten great- grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; brother, Elbert Schneider of Virginia; four sisters, Elaine, Ruth Ann, and Betty Jean Schneider, and Lorna Russell all of Allegan, MI. Gertrude was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Margaret; husband, Jimmy; daughter, Norma Jean Freeman; five brothers, Bill Snyder, Bob, Henry, Frank and George Schneider. A funeral service will be held at 1:00PM, Friday, March 29, 2019 at Slay Memorial Chapel in Aubrey, TX with Randolph Chappel officiating. On Tuesday, April 2, 2019 a visitation will be held from 11:00AM-12:00PM at Gorden Funeral Residence in Allegan, MI with funeral service beginning at 12:00PM. Burial will follow in Poplar Hill Cemetery in Allegan, MI. In lieu of flowers, donations in Gertrude's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, act.alz.org.
