Allegan, Michigan, went to be with her Lord, Friday, November 4, 2005 at Spectrum Butterworth Downtown Campus. Mrs. Nevenzel was born February 3, 1930 in Overisel Twp., the daughter of Jud and Grace (Essink) Yonker. Gert was a member of the Dunningville Reformed Church, where she served as organist for many years. She retired from Bristol-Myers in Zeeland and was currently living at Appledorn Living Center in Holland. Surviving are 1 son and his wife, Dean and Roxanne Nevenzel of Allegan; 2 grandchildren; Zach and Emily Nevenzel; 2 brothers and their wives, Hessel and Myrt Yonker of Burnips and Arnold and Marianne Yonker of Zeeland; 3 sisters-in-law, Mil Novotny and Onie Nevenzel both of Allegan, and Arlene Yonker of Bentheim; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Glenn, and 3 brothers, Bernie, John and Gary . Friends may meet with the family from 2-5 p.m. Sunday at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Dunningville Reformed Church. Pastor Tim Tenclay officiating. Interment Brookside Cemetery, Heath Twp. Memorial contributions may be made to the Church.
