Hopkins Twp., MI, died Monday, November 27, 2006 at Heritage Healthcare Centre, Zeeland. Mrs. Gilbert was born January 16, 1925 in Monterey Twp., the daughter of Herman and Rose (Nicolai) Kerber. She was a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Hopkins. Surviving are 4 children, Sharon and Jim Arra of Arkansas, Linda and Dan Shaw of West Olive, Kevin and Ronda Gilbert of Dorr and Carl "Eugene" Gilbert of Allegan; 7 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl, in 2006, and 5 brothers. Friends may meet with the family from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Hopkins Chapel. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Pastor Donald W. Seelhoff officiating. Interment Lakeview Cemetery, Hopkins Twp.
