Gerald (Jerry Gant) 82 of Allegan, Michigan passed away peacefully on Friday, August 7,2026. Jerry was born to George and Glenda Gant in Allegan on April 7th, 1944. Jerry married his wife Darlene on June 30th, 1962, celebrating their 64th anniversary in June. They raised their two sons Norm (Sally) and Jeff Gant. His pride and joy came from coaching his boys in youth sports and playing as much golf as possible. His love for golf led him to three coveted hole in one’s in his career, and a Senior Club Championship. When Jerry wasn’t with family, you could find him at Cheshire Hills Golf course where he forged many lifelong

friendships. Another passion he had was attending to his grandchildren and great grandson’s sporting activities. Jerry was also an avid Detroit Sports fan. Jerry and Darlene’s greatest hobby was going to estate sales to add to their many collections. Jerry’s favorite was collecting lunch boxes (hundreds of them). Together, they were well known for having their own Memorial and Labor day sales.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, brothers in law David Linder, Don Guritz, and sister in law, Lupe Guritz.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 64 years Darlene, son Norm (Sally), son Jeff, grandchildren Chad, Olivia, James, and great grandson Rylen, brother George (Eve), sister Georgia Bloss, sister in law Dorothy (James) Wilson, sister in Law Diane Linder, brother in law Chuck (Karisa) Stegeman, along with several nieces and nephews.

Jerry was a member of the Allegan Eagles where he achieved Golden Eagle status. Jerry spent 37 years working for the Perrigo Company where he made many lifelong friends.

The family will have a private ceremony at Hudson Corners cemetery.
