Gerald V. Boylan, 84 of Allegan, MI, died Sunday, May 12, 2002 at his home. Mr. Boylan was born Nov. 9, 1917 in Allegan, the son of James L. and Julia A. (Thorp) Boylan. He was a veteran of WWII, having served in the U.S. Army. Surviving are his wife, Luella (Bloom), whom he married May 14, 1952; 5 children, Gerald (Clarann) Boylan, Donald (Candy) Boylan, Geraldine Stoddard, Orville (Phyllis) Boylan and Timothy (Robin) Boylan; 17 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Irving Boylan and Albert Boylan; 4 sisters, Tressa Vote, Virginia Faucher, Eileen Davis and Irene Dendel; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son and his wife, Harold and Carlotta Boylan; 2 daughters, Margaret and Diane; and 2 brothers George and Jim. Friends may meet with the family from 10:30 a.m. Wednesday until time of service at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. Pastor Nathan Kelch officiating. Interment Ft. Custer National Cemetery, Augusta.
