Obituary

George W. Radke, 80 of Haines City, Florida, formerly of Allegan, MI died Monday, November 17, 2003 in Haines City. Mr. Radke was born June 25, 1923, the son of William G. and Sylvia (Warner) Radke. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during World War II and had fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He received a Bronze Star, Silver Battle Star, Good Conduct Medal and Victory Medal. He was a dispatcher for Lakeside Oil Refinery in Kalamazoo for 28 years. Surviving are his wife, Helen (Cook), whom he married on May 22, 1946; 3 children, Linda Milbocker of Haines City, FL, Larry and Peggy Radke of Portage, and George Jr. and Michele Radke of Allegan; 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Fred Radke of Allegan and Mark Radke of Otsego; 2 sisters, Helen Cassidy of Hall, MT and Florence Cassidy of Allegan; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Betty. A graveside memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 2, at Oakwood Cemetery, Allegan.
