Allegan, MI, died Thursday, March 27, 2008 at Metron of Allegan. Mr. Gibson was born March 25, 1918 in Monterey Twp., the son of Grover and Anna (Westfall) Gibson. He was a 1936 graduate of Allegan High School and had owned and operated Gibson Upholstery for 50 years. Surviving are his wife, Jean (Hewitt); 3 children and their spouses, Dan and Lecia Gibson, Vicki and Bill Carroll and Rick and Karen Gibson, all of Allegan; 6 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Woody Gibson of Allegan; 1 sister, Ardis Nahikian of Iowa; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by a sister Vivian Duryea, son-in-law, Jim Ingram, sister-in-law, Lucille Gibson, and nephew, Fred Gibson. Cremation has taken place, there will be no memorial or interment services. Friends may meet with the family from 3-5 p.m. Sunday at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel.
