of Allegan, died Friday, May 6, 2011, at the Allegan General Hospital. Mr. Fargo was born March 24, 1924, in Trowbridge Twp., the son of Thomas and Edna (Vote) Fargo. George was a Veteran of the United States Army. He attended Christ Community Church. He worked for over 30 with Rockwell Int., and was a meat cutter at Save-a-Lot for 10years, he owned and operated Fargo's Bait for many years. He loved to fish and play cards. Surviving are his wife, Mary, 3 children; Melvin and Brenda Fargo, Tom and Connie Fargo, and Sheila and Reggie Kelley all of Allegan, 3 step children; Rick and Gena Brabon of Kalamazoo, Steve and Robin Brabon of Bronson, and Theresa Brabon of Allegan, 20 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Virginia, and 8 brothers and sisters. Friends may meet with the family on Tuesday, May 10 from 1-3 pm at Christ Community Church in Allegan, where the funeral service will be held at 3pm. Pastor G. Patrick White will officiate. Interment Mallory Cemetery, Trowbridge Twp. Memorials may be made to the Church or West Michigan Cancer Center. Arrangements by the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel.
