Obituary

of Allegan, died Sunday, September 18, 2011, at his home. Mr. Cook was born May 3, 1933, in Webster County West Virginia, the son of Harley and Lucy (Ellis) Cook. George was a Veteran of the United States Army, having served in the Korean Conflict. He had worked for Con Rail for over 20 years, retiring in 1992. Surviving are his 5 children; Barb and Bill Brennan of Allegan, Joe and Debbie Cook of Otsego, Daniel and Cecelia Cook of Alto, Troy and Tory O'Bryant of Otsego, and Spencer and Mary Cook of Kalamazoo, 12 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 2 sisters; Helen Radke of Florida, and Jackie Ecklestaffer of Holland, several nieces, nephews and cousins. A military graveside service will be held at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta on Monday, September 26th at 10:30 am. Family and friends will leave from the funeral home at 9:15 am. Memorial donations may be made to the Wings of Hope Hospice. Arrangements by the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel.
