Trowbridge Twp., Gobles, MI, died Sunday, September 17, 2006 at the Allegan General Hospital. Mrs. Butcher was born January 12, 1928 in Otsego, the daughter of James and Dorothy (Thorp) Stratton. Surviving are her husband, Arthur, whom she married April 4, 1946; 3 children, Connie Austin of Kalamazoo, Jeanne and Scott Davis of Oshtemo, and Daniel and Leslie Butcher of Otsego; 7 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Loretta Eichhold of Battle Creek; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Frances Butcher, Alberta Pelc, and Leona Allen. There will be no visitation. Graveside services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Trowbridge Methodist Cemetery, Trowbridge Twp. Pastor Stephen Burrows officiating. Arrangements by the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel.
