Gary Alan Walters, 71, of Allegan, MI passed away Friday, May 23, 2025 at his home.  Born March 8, 1954 in Allegan, MI, he was the son of the late Burton Eugene and Rollene Jean (Wentzel) Walters and was the husband of Diane (Roush) Walters.  Gary was a 1972 graduate of Hamilton High School where he played football.  He worked as a truck driver for many years finding adventure and making friends while delivering loads throughout all 48 contiguous states. His favorite job came late in his career proudly driving locally for Herman Miller. He filled his time off with fishing, collecting found treasures at road side sales and flea markets, following the Detroit Lions games and news, hunting with many friends especially beloved nephew Dan, and never missing an opportunity to indulge his grandchildren. He loved classic cars, Harley Davidson, and a wide variety of farm pets. Gary was a dedicated and loving husband and made sure his girls looked after Diane when he was not able to.  He was a compassionate and selfless man whose family meant the world to him and, in return, his family loved him beyond words.

In addition to his wife, Diane, Gary is survived by his children, Kim (Larry) Madison, Alex (Nicole) Nee, Alisha (Jason) Davis, Theresa Vink and Amy (Veerpal) Singh; siblings, Ronald (Judy) Walters and Judy (Daniel) Ashbaugh; grandchildren, Adrian Sevitts, Nora Nee, Natalie Nee, Grace Vink and Jasiah Davis; and several nieces and nephews.  Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Debra Steifenberg; his infant grandson, Noah Singh; and his best friend and cousin, Michael Walters.

The family will receive friends at Allegan Bible Church on Thursday, May 29, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM and a funeral service will begin at 12:00 PM.  Gary will be laid to rest in Riverside Cemetery in Hamilton.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105; or Shriners Hospitals for Children, Attn: Shriners Children's Processing Center, Atlanta, GA 30394.
