of Onondaga, formerly of Hastings and Allegan, died Friday, May 22, 2009 at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing. Mr. Pranshka was born March 31, 1946, in Hastings, the son of Theodore and Audrey (Forsythe) Pranshka. Gary was a simple man, he loved his Lord, family, hunting and racing. He retired from Myers Auto Parts in 2007 after 12 years of service. Surviving are his children, Lauri and John Taylor of Paw Paw, Dan and Kandi Pranshka of Onondaga, Tonya and Russ O'Donnell of Hastings, Glenda and Tim Knarian of Allegan, Rinda and Greg Branch of Otsego, Brett and Lori Bailey of Florida, and Brock and Jana Bailey of Holland, 17 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, his father, Dorr, and, 1 sister, Patti and Wayne Lewis all of Hastings, 2 nieces, Tammy and Doug Wheeler and Audra and Dale Cheeseman. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian who passed on April 15, 2009, his mother, Audrey, his grandparents, Tate and Mina Pranshka, and Bill and Ruth Forsythe. Friends may meet with the family on Monday the 25th., from 4-7 pm at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10 am.
