age 69, of Allegan, went to be with his Lord and Savior Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at Bronson Methodist Hospital, Kalamazoo. He was born June 8, 1944 in Allegan, Michigan, the son of Laurence and Irene (Hurlbut) Austin. Gary was a long time member of Merson Church. Gary is survived by his beloved wife Sharon; his children: Tammy (Ben) Peterson, Troy (Jill) Austin; his grandchildren: Shelby, Kaleb, Luke, Lexie, Kylee; his brothers and sisters-in-law: Carl and Pat Schanz, Jim and Sue Clawson; his brother and sister in Christ, Ted and Judy Hillman; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents; his sisters: Sally Thran and Sandra Hodge. Friends may visit with the family on Friday, February 7, 2014 from 5-8:00 P.M. at Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. The Funeral will be held Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at Merson Church, Gobles. Pastor Gail Pike and Jim Davis will be officiating.
