Gabriel Miguel Yskes, 20 of Grand Rapids, Michigan, passed away tragically in an automobile accident on April 4, 2022 in Allegan, Michigan. Born June 12, 2001 in Holland, Michigan, he was the son of Anthony Steven Yskes and Carrie Lynn Lockwood. Gabriel was an amazing young man, who most people remember as being the life of the party, entertaining everyone with his warmth and charm. He knew how to keep things light and easy and make everyone feel comfortable. His family and friends knew him as someone who loved people and enjoyed making others laugh and stay positive, nothing ever seemed to get him down. Gabriel took great pride in acquiring his G.E.D. and thoroughly loved his job. He had a knack for going above and beyond for anyone, whether a close friend or a stranger, and never shied away from trying new things. Singing and bowling were two of his favorite activities. Though Gabriel is not here on this earth anymore, the light and love he gave during his lifetime will continue to shine through his family and friends and he will never be forgotten. Left to carry his memory forward are his mother and stepfather, Carrie and Brian Lockwood; his father, Anthony Yskes; his brothers, Victor and Elijah Yskes; his grandparents, Charles Cole, Julia Cole and Mary Yskes Ringling and her husband, Lee Ringling; his step siblings, Steven, Julia and Trent Lockwood; his half siblings, Harmonie Morehead, Caleb Bloomandale and Anaya Hernandez; his maternal aunts and uncles, Charlene Karl, Cristi Vanklompenberg, Richard Cole, and Gene Gilland; his paternal aunts and uncles, Laurel, Jessica, Andrew, Gerrit, Conner and Issac Ringling; his cousin, Hunter Cole and many others; his nephew, Legend Alexzander Yskes; along with numerous friends. Gabriel was preceded in death by his grandfather, Steve Valdez; his grandmother, Betty Cole; his aunt, Jennifer Cole; and his nephew, Ian Daniel Yskes. A Celebration of Life will be held on Gabriel's birthday, June 12th, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Trowbridge Township Hall located at 913 32nd Street, Allegan, MI 49010.
