of Allegan, died Friday December 25, 2009 at the Borgess Medical Center. Mr. Radke was born July 18, 1940, in Cheshire Twp., the son of William and Betty Radke. Fred retired from the City of Allegan in 2005, where he had worked for the DPW for over 30 years. When he wasn't working you could find him trapping, hunting, fishing or cutting wood. Fred and his family built a log home from scratch with logs they cut. Surviving are his 5 children, Glenda Radke of Hastings, Fred Radke Jr. of Allegan, Danny Kowalewski of Battle Creek, Donald Kowalewski of Allegan and Charlie and Rashelle Kowalewski of Allegan, 9 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 2 brothers, Mark G. Radke of Otsego, Macy and Nancy Burt of Lawrence, 2 sisters, Florence Cassidy of Allegan and Nancy and Mike Wright of Plainwell, several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife, Connie and his son Billy. Friends may meet with the family on Tuesday from 6 - 8 pm at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 am. Pastor Paul Hays will officiate.
