of Allegan, died Monday, April 4, 2016, at Blodgett Hospital in Grand Rapids. Fred was born April 17, 1947, in Adrian, the son of the late Fred and Amaryllis (Giese) Lewis. Fred was a wonderful husband, father, grandpa, and step dad, he enjoyed spending time with his family. He loved to bake and eat cookies, and so did all his family. Fred had the ability to fix most things, and would always be there to lend a hand. He had a passion for old cars, and enjoyed restoring them. Years back he owned and operated a pawn shop in Cedar Springs, and had stories to tell. Fred always greeted the ladies saying "Hi Sweetie", followed by a big hug. Surviving are his wife and Valentine, Rene; his 3 children: Shawn Lewis, Chad Lewis, Mark Lewis and his companion, Angie Aldana; his 3 step children; Melissa and Rick McLoud, Sheri and Clif Evans, and Shawnee Headworth and her companion, Nate Weenum; 10 grandchildren. Friends may meet with the family on Friday, April 8, 2016, from 10 -11 am at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Allegan, where a memorial service will be held at 11 am.
