82, of Allegan, died Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at the Battle Creek V.A. Medical Center. He was born on May 12, 1930 in White Bluff, Tennessee, the son of Charles and Lillian (Culhane) Deater. Franklin was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served his country during the Korean Conflict. He is survived by his beloved wife Naomaie, who he was married for over 61 years; his children: Frank (Cheryl) Deater, Larry Deater, Doug (Rhonda) Deater, David (Lori) Deater; his grandchildren: Tim, Jolene, Lisa, Shari, Trina, Debbie, D.J., Polly, Theresa, Kylee, Matt, David, Kristina, Sarah, Clay, Curtis, Courtney, Madeline; his 46 great-grandchildren; his brother Kenneth; his sisters Audrey, Jean, Ruth; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Franklin is preceded in death by his son Jim; his daughter Martha; his parents; and his brothers and sisters. Friends may meet with the family on Thursday, April 25, 2013 from 6-8:00 P.M. at Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. The Funeral will be on Friday, April 26, 2013 at 12:00 Noon, also at Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. Pastor Paul Hays will be officiating.
