GURGON, Frank X. Age 73, of Pullman, MI, formerly of Portage, IN, died Friday, Feb. 1, 2002 at the Allegan General Hospital. Mr. Gurgon was born June 1, 1928 in Blairsville, PA, the son of Steven and Katherine (Gobolick) Gurgon. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during the Korean Conflict. He had owned an operated F&P Enterprises Inc. in Portage, IN for 23 years, retiring in 1995, and had also worked as an agent for the Kaplan Trucking Co. in Portage for 13 years. Surviving are his wife, Cleora; 4 children, Brian Gurgon of Indiana, Steven Gurgon of Arizona, Danny and Penny Gurgon of Indiana and Joanie and Scott Perigne of Arizona; 4 stepchildren, Diana McLaughlin of Allegan, Gordon and Elaine Green of Florida, Jerry and Elaine Green of Texas and Nancy and Shawn Linder of Allegan; many grandchildren, step grandchildren, great grandchildren and step great grandchildren; 1 brother George Gurgon of Florida; 2 sisters, Betsy Harsh of Pennsylvania and Tootsie and Joel York of Florida. Memorial services will be held Thursday, Feb. 7, at 6 p.m. at the Real Life Community Church in Portage, IN. Pastor Duane Schmidt officiating.
